Poor fellow took a leap of faith out of his pond during a feeding frenzy.

We thought he was a goner, having turned milk white, with blood streaming from his gills...

He's swimming weakly now, right side up. Hope he survives the night.

Buried under the lime bush. Took half a day off to do it. He was my 2nd biggest fish at 16 inches.

Gonna keep some clover oil handy next time. Was hard holding on to him for two hours knowing he was slowly fading away.

Clover oil be koi anesthetic. Large amounts are used for euthanasia.
