Everyone who's put any dogs up for adoption on petschannel or dogsforum or any other site please be careful of a man who calls from this number, claiming to want to adopt the dog:9x7147zero3
Yesterday a friend of mine and I posted an adoption notice on various forums for a stray pup. I received a call from a man who claimed to be interested in the pup. He told me his name was WAN and he'd seen the adoption notice on petschannel. When I asked him where the pup would be housed, he said it would be housed in his office so I asked him for his office address and told him that I would get back to him later.
He then called my friend (we'd given both our numbers in the notice) from the same number and claimed his name was FU this time. The "office address" he gave in Tiong Bahru turned out to be a PEST CONTROL place. It also turns out that he sometimes works for the AVA as pest control to round up strays.
My friend asked him why he wanted to adopt a dog when he could instead just adopt a dog which he rounded up with AVA. He said that those dogs were too "fierce" for him. His "story" sounds highly improbable by any stretch of the imagination.
He then called me again, and I told him that I would not let him adopt the pup. His answer to that was:"which dog is your one?, because there are a lot of free dogs for adoption on petschannel".... This to me indicates that he called more than just me.
And to think that if we hadn't back-checked his office address we wouldn't have known he worked for pest-control! I'm guessing he's not the smartest guy, but there maybe smarter people out ther doing the same hideous thing.
So please tell your friends or anyone you know who is putting their pets up for adoption not to give this man your dogs, and to screen potential "adopters" rigidly.
God Bless,
