Did you know that World Animal Day is celebrated on 4th October worldwide? It is a day set aside to celebrate humankind's unique relationship with the animal kingdom and acknowledges in various ways how animals enrich our lives.

Last year, we showed our appreciation to the residents of MettaCats by sponsoring food for the 40-odd and 200-over cats.

This year, we would like to expand this outreach to include Mdm Wong's Shelter (MWS) as well. MWS shelters 60+ dogs who were abandoned by their owners or who have been rescued from breeders. Many were found wandering along the roads near puppy farms. Mdm Wong's Shelter


Here's the thing :

MettaCats prefers to give their residents a treat so we will sponsor Woofy Burgers at a discounted price of $2 each. Not only that; for every 3 Woofy Burgers you sponsor, you are entitled to 1 absolutely free. You may choose to collect your free burger(s) from Loving Pets or donate it to MettaCats.

MWS feels it is better to have raw food which they can mix with rice for their residents' daily meal. My butcher has agreed to give me a special price of $9 per kg of fresh minced beef if I make a minimum order of 20kg. Although I can't be sure if there will be that much sponsorship, I'm going to take the risk and ask that you sponsor either 500g at $4.50 or 1kg at $9 of fresh minced beef. On top of that, I will sponsor an additional 10% of the total purchased.

In short -

For MettaCats - sponsor 3 Woofy Burgers and get 1 free for yourself to be collected from Loving Pets.

For Mdm Wong's Shelter - sponsor fresh minced beef at $4.50 for 500g or $9 for 1kg. I will add 10% to the total. Eg. if sponsorships total 10kg, MWS will receive 11kg, the additional 1kg being from me.

CLOSING DATE : 4th October 2009

No worries about purchase/delivery etc. I will do all that together with a Thank-you card with all the names of sponsors and the amount you have given.
