Hi...wow, looks like you're an expert on many a thing!
I work in the animal fields as well & was wondering if this type of caging may be useful to new owners of hammies?

As you can see, these are meant for larger mice, but I'm sure the hammies will find it even better due to the space

Current Watercooling with:
TJ07, Dtek V2 CPU block, Dtek V2 GPU block, EK NB/SB 5 block on NB, Swiftech MCW30 block on SB, Koolance MVR-40 VReg blocks x 02, Swiftech Micro Reservoir, Thermochill PA120.3 Rad, Swiftech MCP655 Vario pump with EK D5 X-Top, Bitspower Temperature probe x 02, PrimoFlex Pro LRT Tubings, Primochill Anti-Kink Coils Black, PC ICE Coolant

btw you guys ever try cooling your hamsters below 14-16 degrees ? its kinda cute the way russian dwarfs go into hibernation mode lol

Navanod , personally I think thats a tad too small , I use a fish tank thats 1.5m X 1m ( tedious work cleaning it though but all worth it )

however , I must say that cage is kinda handy for travelling or perhaps...one or two hamsters..

PS : NR can awnser you better on this ( I've owned only 8 hammies so far >.< )

True...might be abit crowded if more than 4 hammies, but I'm talking about those dwarf hammies...which are about 1/2 the size of those white mice you see in the pic.
I think its large enough for 4-5 dwarf

I'm testing out one of these cages now. The good thing is that it comes with the ventilated cover, food hopper, the water bottle & is very light & relatively cheap.

heh I owned only 5 dwarf sapphires and 3 roborovskis....so I know the size

I'm still for the fish-tank method though...hang a wire mesh and a S ring to hold the water bottle.

I personally feel that fish tanks are...well,... for fishes

The walls too high & the ventilation poor...
Any idea how much does a tank of a similar size cost?

Not fantastic but smell is controlled pretty well. As long as the cage is not over crowded & changed when it starts to soil, condensation & air quality seems pretty acceptable.

Heres the main ventilation. Filter can be removed if smell is not a concern.

Top view of the cage, showing bottle & feed hopper.

Just to get an idea of the layout & size

Hopper has slits & there's prob enough space for a small exercise wheel

My pet mice are adult males, so looks abit packed, but then again, I'm keeping them in aircon, so they need each other for warmth.

I didn't see any locally. I got it by chance from overseas when I saw it & found it to be very light & pretty (except no exercise wheel ).

Its a sample cage from the seller so I'm not sure about the price. I'm testing it now with my own pets first

If its good, might bring in some to give my friends with small pets...
