[project log]revival of first light F@|c0n Dec 8th, 08, 09:54 PM #1 (permalink)
Finally got all my gears and ready to start a new project log for it.
Why revival? well it is from my first project last year from this link:

Project: First Light

Whats changing?
a number of changes since that first project, like the hdd, cpu, mobo etc all have changed, except the casing only! my sole survival.
But guess this time it will be changed to its bigger bro.

Credits
Special thanks to many people in this forum for answering my questions on wc-ing.
Of cuz the biggest helper is bro froze, almost everything(all the new hardwares) comes from his poison lar.

Help Section:
guys, do give me some suggestions also on where to mount the pump, res etc.. where to loop it etc.. i really need suggestions.
this is the first time i am wc-ing a pc, a lot of stuffs i still dont know how they work.

EXTRAS:
1) still need fan filters for all my fan.
2) who have extra 3/8" barbs(normal ones, do not need compression barbs), i need 4 more, just realise i lack of 4 barbs. dont know how did i miss that out.

My simple layout:
not so pro in doing content page and etc, so will do with this simple layout, pics will be taken from a pns cam, lazy with my dslr, maybe my internal hardware i may try with my dslr.

Since this is my first time, the project log will be simple, just cooling the CPU only, the rest will come when i have more funds and time to do it.

Example of my sound reactive LEDs and CCFL

For those who nv really see my pc at home before, here is what it looks like now..

yup your eyes are not playing tricks on you.. i have solder circuit boards with red and blue LEDs in there. and the CCFL invertor is sound reactive if i wan it to, so my LED and 2 ccfl will reach to the music i am playing, thats only to impress and fun only haha totally stupid actually.

the older pic with the kazameter.

Start of the project

took out the casing(sorry no pic, forgot to take!)
and slowly strip it, so as to test out how many parts could be taken out.

almost everything inside is out, the mobo tray and hdd cage. all the fans too!

start to place most noise isolator foams around the metal parts.
not going powercoat this time, due to time constraint, starting school soon, so will need to make it start powering up fast.

I put in all the wc-ing stuffs to have a rough gauge to figure out where to place my stuffs. tubes are also cut, 10ft of them. all of them are cut longer so to allow some allowance.

Sleeved up something.

the fan's wires i sleeved together and sand the fan guard coz they were blocking each other.

sleeve up the pump

sleeve up the power switch wires

Ok next i need to visit SLS again .. need more sleeves and bigger ones for my USB ports

pump > cpu > res > rad > pump looks like a more neater setup, but having the res before pump is still better.
