Project: SUGO Pure White jesmen Jul 11th, 09, 09:17 PM #1 (permalink)
Project: SUGO Pure White

Ok, this is the second project i am logging in here. Due to upgrading my family Pc i got the chances to change to a smaller casing. Previously using CoolerMaster Elite 330. While looking for a suitable casing with low price tag, the Silverstone Sugo Sg02-f caught my attention. I read a few review and it really suits me. Only one point i dislike, its SECC steel construction. Of course i cannot ask for more with this kind of low price tag. So i made a pre order form Gary @ Uvnium. Choose between Black and White. Its a tough choice as i like white but there is no DVD rom to suit its color. So work has to be done and there is spraying.

Project was break down to phases as follows

Phase 1: Inspecting the casing
Phase 2: Tearing it apart
Phase 3: Spraying
Phase 4: Installation of parts
Phase 5: Cable mangement
Phase 6: Testing

Phase 1: Inspecting the casing

I collected the casing on 8/07/09 from Gary. Did some sleeving service from him, white sleeve... Got it home and started to unpack it.

Phase 2: Tearing it apart

Tearing it apart is easy. Its so interesting as its my first small factor case, wonding how could so many items squeeze into a small box like this.

Phase 6: Testing

Here goes the test run.
Its fine running smooth.
Just that the cpu fan speed was high(4100 Rpm) and noisy.
Did some bios setting to tame down the fan speed.

Testing in process

Fan spinning fast

System with cover closed

Finally got your white case! Cool stuff on spraying the inner white. Wanted to do on my previous project but due to lack of time, only able to airbrush.

Care to share how you spray the inner case??

nice paint job! clearly fitting for the project name.
shame about the sleeving though, with the wire colors showing through.
good job nonetheless bro!
