Well, here's what I saw on both of my disks when going from the AAK firmware to the AAM firmware. I'm posting 1 set of data since, both drives had pretty much identical results. AAM seemed slightly better where a slight cap was removed, but I think the AAK firmware got a bad wrap, since on both of my discs with AAK firmware, I didn't see anything close to what others where reporting. In summary I got a 4meg/Sec average read increase with the AAM firmware update. Hardly anything to get all up in arms about.
