Running on 1024x768 & 800x600 native resolution now! shunrong Jan 15th, 08, 02:29 AM #1 (permalink)
no hack required..

http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=9681

just dl the eeepc_res.zip from above..
and dl Asus R2H XP VGA Driver (google it)

install the asus driver...
Go to Display properties ->Setting -> Advanced -> Monitor
uncheck "Hide mode that this monitor cannot display"
run the eeepc_res.exe. thats it!
hoping for a 1000x600 res now.

The E3's 1024X768 is worse than the Kohji's 1024X768... I wonder why...

800X600 with 109% text size is the best combi I've found so far.

Also, any of you get useless tabs under Display Options -> Advanced? The ones that go "the memory cannot be read: aborting" when you try to select them?
Move 'Rig'. For great justice :

i dont think the eee pc was meant for such high resolution

in fact the default OS looks good on it

but win xp pro looks quite horrible unless you choose larger fonts
