senior members@eeeuser forum seem to take this thread to task...their ponts appears to be valid notwithstanding more specific information..perhaps newhunter can elaborate more as the cn-cr article is vague and did not state in chinese that it is an 8.9inch eee leh...

It's just a picture. That thing could be anything. That doesn't even look like an Eee PC, to me. It's larger and has a shiny surface.

It's a picture with nothing else. Unless I see an actual press release to go along with that picture, I'm saying that's not an Eee Pc.

Since when was a picture, posted in a forum, with nothing to back it up, considered a credible rumor?

I can't see anything to indicate that this is a picture of an 8.9" anything. If it weren't for Jonny Shih being in the picture, there would be no clue of Asus at all in this photo. As for the gismodo link (one more time) It is unlikely anyone will ever see a unit that looks like the prototype in those pics. I don't know that the source of those photos was ever revealed, but as far as anything real about the 8.9" in photgraphic evidence, I have yet to see anything. If Asus were showing off the new eee, there would be headlines and certainly a better picture than the one at the beginning of this thread. Back to speculation.

If these americans are right..seems we jump onto the hype too easily...
