I want to make the following changes to the XG15:
Remove Caviar Black 750GB
Add Samsung Msata SSD 120GB
Remove Win 8 OS
Upgrade NIC to Intel Advance Nic

Is it possible for this promo?

@crucifer

Yes that is possible but there might be a wait time for win 7 as current prebuilt units are all loaded with Win 8.

@kewell Thank you!

Kewl are you using xm17 for school or as a desktop replacement? I'm currently in poly and would like to know which to go for, XG15 or XG17. If you do use it for school, do you find it bulky or heavy?

@Ermelious, the XG15 and XG17 are pretty much the same spec-wise, so if weight is a concern you should go for the XG15

Ok, but how much of the screen's real estate will i be missing here? Given that if i use a XG15 with it's native 1080p resolution, i may have to up the dpi so that text are at a bigger comfortable size to read which will therefore cut screen real estate :/
For courses of studies that are hardcore in programming, will you recommend a 17" over a 15"?

I would recommend the 17inch for programming if you are going to be staring at small text the whole day =)

Still, all of this is pretty personal. One man's meat is another man's poison after all. I would recommend you come down to our Funan showroom to try for yourself to better make a decision. Both models are on display there
