- What is AppleCare?
AppleCare is an extended warranty plan which will extend the warranty coverage on your Mac and your complimentary phone support to 3 years.- Which products can be covered with this AppleCare?
You can use this AppleCare if you have the 13" Macbook (white/black polycarbonate body), the 13" Unibody Macbook, the newly released 13" Unibody Macbook Pros, or the Macbook Air.- How do I know if my Mac qualifies for AppleCare?
You can only purchase AppleCare for Macs which are still under the 1 year standard warranty by Apple. You can check if your Mac is covered here.- Do I have to register my AppleCare?
Yes, you will have to register your AppleCare online here or contact Apple's hotline at 6835 1812 to register in order for you to qualify for the extended coverage. Remember to do so within your 1 year standard warranty period!- What are the benefits of getting a sealed retail box over some digital code?
- Very much safer as there have been cases where buyers who just get the "digital code" either couldn't register the APP or, for those who could, have their APP rendered void by Apple after a few weeks, due to the fraudulent and questionable nature of the codes. If Apple suspects your code is a fake, it will then ask you to provide the serial number of the box (which buyers of "digital codes" obviously do not have). With the code only, you can never be sure, but with the box, you can!
