Initially I thought so too... But when my uncle inserted his M1 sim card into the iPhone 3G bought from Singtel, the M1 sim card could not be used... Nothing wrong with the M1 sim card as it could be used on any other handsets...

Wow you are one of the few lucky ppl to be pampered by Singtel.. My friend using Singtel don't even receive a handset voucher from Singtel after their contract ends, only measly $4 bill rebate which ceases after purchsing handset. Let alone birthday perks whatsoever...

M1 sunperks points 400 points is enough to redeem for a pair of sneak preview movie tickets which is available for redemption 2-3 times a month.. Singtel don't even issue points for redemption (Unless minimum spend of $100 on Singtel services every month consecutively for 6 months which is way ridiculous).. Lols..

If points for redemption is difficult to achieve, there's also a underlying meaning to it --> Your bills have been very cheap to even earn points!

my dad was running on singtel's cheapest plan and have been receiving vouchers on his birthday for the pass few years.

M1 sunperks do allow you to redeem movie ticket at 400 (used to be 300). however, they dont seems to update their movie as often as the past.

i used to exchange for alot of tickets

Wow your dad is really lucky. even my aunt who has been using Singtel before M1 launched have not received any single voucher nor birthday vouchers..

m1 has actually steadily increased the frequency of their Box Office these few months after the new aggressive CEO came onboard.. Just this past few weeks alone, there's Transformers, Duplicity, Public Enemies and GI Joe.. Lols.. Best of all, there's now buy 1 get 1 free movie tic every sundae at any cathay cineplex!

You need to troubleshoot what goes wrong and i read thru all the posts, so many issues to all the 3 telcos.

Can you do one thing and intechange your sim card and try on your dad's phone. If it goes thru, your phone may have an issues, if not is your sim card and test on the same spot too.
