If desktop and notebook OEMs are able to install hardware of differing performance levels into the same notebook and sell them for different prices to cater to a variety of consumer needs and desires, it would make sense that is was only a matter of time before smartphone OEMs start adopting this practice as well. And it seems that Samsung is all ready to start doing so with the introduction of the Galaxy Z, which, according to reports, is a slightly underpowered version of its current Galaxy S II smartphone.
