Other than the lack of funding and control by upper management, i feel Rafa is too cautious, always thinking about the next match n afraid of losing. Take the Fulham game for example, 1-1 draw with 27 mins to go, why take out Torres? I understand he need to consider about Wed Europe game but why take out Benayoun oso?

He is only willing to go for it when the chips are down n his back is against the wall, example the UCL final that they won n last week match against us.

When your squad lacks depth due to lack of funds and inteferance by upp. management. You have to be cautious. You honestly cannot say a good manager should be able to take any team to the top. Just look at the EPL and tell me a team that didnt spend money can make it. If you guys are Poo fans, you will know though we seem to spend the same money as other teams in the big 4, we've actually had to sell players to raise those money. The only way to raise decent money is to sell what many would consider quality depth players that can play first choice for any other team.

Just imagine Mourinho or Fergie in such a situation. I doubt neither relishes the experience. Wenger on the other hand had 15 years to build his current youth squad to not have to spend so much each season.

I believe alot of you read soccernet, however do take their reports with a pinch of salt as the site's writers are MU fans. It was big news that Poo lost alot of players due to injury and flu virus last week. However Soccernet only reported it TODAY. Just to add more salt to Poo's wounds. If they had reported it before the Fulham match. People would have understood why Rafa was fielding another "eccentric" selection instead of our best players (who were all down with the virus and injured). This is what I call sensationalism.

It is far more important to save Torres for UCL matches as we need to win the next 3 matches of the group stage to get to the knockout stages. This compared to 27 more league matches to catch up to the top 4 is wayyyy more IMPORTANT right now.

FYI Torres was playing injured contrary to what the sensationalist press wants you to know. If Torres had stay on in the match and aggravated his injury further, I bet the press will still hang Rafa. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. Like what many of you guys refuse to admit. The press likes to use Rafa as a whipping boy.

Perhaps the only issue I saw with the Fulham loss was taking out Benayoun instead of letting him play on since he was fine. However... is that the biggest problem with Rafa honestly? If Rafa is so bad a manager why did we finish within 3 points and 2nd place in the EPL last season? Luck? Fate? MU give chance? None of those reasons, right?

p.s. Gerrard looks to be out as he needs surgery now, few other first team guys look set to sit out the Lyon match due to injury/virus.

another last minutes drama from us again. The way we leak in goals is worrying. If we play like this against Chelsea this weekend, we will get slaughtered

Not too worry bro, juz enjoy the roller coaster ride

As expected the makeshift central pairing of Brown & Evans was much tested this time round. SAF recognises the weakness on the left and duly replaced both Nani & Fabio.

Its a game where chances are aplenty and shld have wrapped the game earlier. However, I'll take the 1 point contented till the next round draw. There'll be changes for the Chelsea game. We need to win that one coz Chelsea don't do a Liverpool too often, they're consistent this time round and thus far has steamrolled past the lesser team.

Rubin Kazan is definitely the suprise black horse currently. Won away at Nou Camp and held Barca to a 0-0 draw at home. Shld they get through to the next stage, a definitely tricky opponent.

Really need a mindset change. Saw the same incompetency in the both the matches against Liverpool and Chelsea.

Tactically the team is set-up to congest the midfield and choke each-other out. Looks very much like to play out the games for draws. Even when going a goal down, the changes are made very late in the game.

Looks like we just have to go and bully the other lesser clubs then to even out the results.

In any case, our 2nd favourite Scot is back! I think he played really well.

I actually feel that we played really well n shut out the Chelsea midfield. It's our finishing n final ball plus some ref decisions that is our undoing. If our finishing is any better, we should have won comfortably. We really need to brush up our finishing as I feel it's our Achilles heel for this season.

Yes Man U had plenty of chances to finish the game but they will need to improve that if they want to win

to me Mark Clanttenberg is the best referee there is right now and we doesn't seems to get him for every of our big matches this season. Last match saw a crap referee at his best. Knew somehow he would spoilt the match for us and true enough.

plus the assistant referee was so bad themselves. They should be penalised and made to pay somehow cos their errors are causing teams to suffer when they shouldn't be in the first place. United dominated the match and at least deserved a draw.

just hope that we trash them back at home when we see them again. Chelsea won't win the title, mark my word(too much ego and over confidence in their players). Plus it seems they think the title is destine for them this season...I back Arsene team if United fails to.
