is push-up bars really helpful?? SYY Aug 3rd, 09, 10:41 PM #1 (permalink)
hey guys, recently saw somewhere on da net saying dat da push-up bars/stands helps to increase da range of movement as well as decrease the impact on ur wrists, bud is it realli dat helpful or even betta den wad i mentioned?? was thinkin of getting one since quite cheap(bout less den 20) and also i wun leave oily handprints on my floor tiles if i were to do push-up at home...any opinions on this??

Way Of The Dragon: From a distance - 20 paddlers move in perfect rhythm to a muted drum beat, gracefully skimming the water's surface. Up close - determined grunts and strained sinews with oars in grip, dig vigorously into the water. The majestic head of the dragon fronts this contraption but the real heart lies just behind it, at the apex of the bow. Like a conductor of an orchestra, the drummer leads his crew with the calculated beat of his drum. Such is the realm of dragon boating.

Yes, good exercise on the wrist.

you could always do incline/feet elevated - inverted L handstand push up.
Don't need a push up bar - just take 2 books to raise your hands up.

then go to a gym and do a benchpress, cause it'll be the same with the bars. =)

Without the bars you are at high risk of hurting your wrists especially if you push yourself hard. Buy it, your wrists will be grateful to you!

Using push up-bars will build-up more on your upper arms, esp your shoulder area.Besides, if u do it in the correct technique, it helps u on the stomach too.(Control your breathing )
