Alright... I'm back! Let's do this - LeeEEEERRRRROOOOYYY JENNNKIINNSSSss!

Any volunteers for the planning of this ride? I think starting from Burlington is a pretty decent way to go. Is that central enough for everyone?

Josh - regarding an overhaul...

I'd suggest starting with the crank first - replace that then move on to upgrading other components as time goes by - the crank is - after the wheelset and fork, probably the most significant component on the bike - it has a large role to play in determining the overall feel and weight of the bike. Plus, if you get a good one, you can simply migrate it to any future setups. So get a solid crank - make it a keeper

Items like the fork should come later - particularly since some parts such as forks have to be cut and measured to fit the particular frame - assuming you change your frame, you might find that they steerer tube might be a little off...

As for groupset, after settling your frame - consider what kind of trasmission you wanna go for - SRAM's 2007 X-9 is a solid race-ready alternative to Shimano Deore XT and the two series occupy one berth about LX... so before you go for a Solo groupset, consider your alternatives, particularly the kind of "feel" you want from your ride...

I'm in, though weekend saturday's I have church commitments, so best would be sundays. Currently my bike is down cause the rear d cable is stuck, getting it done soon though. PM me if anything is on, I seldom check this part of the forum.

Is anyone up for a mild ride this weekend? Sat night maybe?

Exams are coming... but I think I can spare some time for a night ride
