After spending 2 days finally i got winxp pro up and running on my eeePC 900.

But in "My Computer" i cannot see the second ssd which is the 16 gb 1. Can any bro here help ?

asked & answered......you need to format yr 16ssd under ntfs for fat32 for xp to recognize it....

Is it enabled in the Bios?
Also have you checked under administrative tools>computer management>disk management?

open "computer management" from control panel/administrative tools

select "disk management"

select bigger drive, right click, remove partition. Select it again, make new partition and format it to ntfs.

btw..2 days to install xp? why?

Lol by default it's formatted in ext2 (or ext3?) which is a Linux file system and hence not recognised in XP without the correct drivers.

Tks bro for the reply. I got the 2nd SSD up and running.

Cause i am using Vista on my main pc and dun have ext. cd rom drive so i have some problems on getting the thumb drive to work to boot to dos. I tried almost all the methods then i du lan go over to fren house with xp one to format that thumb drive to boot to dos. Then all stuffs up and running liao.

Btw is it possible to back up the system drive with stuffs like Norton Ghost ?
