Try Isopropyl alcohol.
For the best results, 90% and above ones. 70-75% ones are easily avaliable from pharmacy.

Will do, maybe I have a lower concentration. I did try that once, but with little success, I have an LGA775 socket...

Zippo or Rhonsol. Alcohol is expensive.

do you mean you got the grease into the little socket holes?
that could b a problem......but like people said, usually use use rubbing alcohol.

if it's in the hole i make afftect the cpu so you can try picking it out. not sure if you can rma it b/c it's not a defect.

Well actually, I have an intel lga775 socket, so the pins are on the mobo... I can't actually touch the socket to clean it.... know what I mean? I just want to find a way to clean it out completely IF I have to rma it because of any other reason...

Sounds like a great idea, but I live in Quebec, Canada. Can you tell me the name/brand of cleaner you are talking about?
