Memory Voltage Pencil Mods: Foxconn C51XEM2AA & Gigabyte 965P DQ6 Shamino Jul 9th, 06, 10:33 PM #1

DDR2 Memory chipsets have matured and overclockers are starting to see DDR2 Memory sticks respond and scale very well with increased voltages. What was more than enough in the past seems limiting now. With just a sharpened pencil, you can take matters into your own hands... Voltage Mod your AM2 Foxconn C51XEM2AA and Intel Conroe supporting Gigabyte 965P DQ6!

Hey guys, sorry to bump an old thread but I have a question. When measuring vdimm using measure point as outlined below in pic, I am getting a big difference compared to bios. For example 2.3v BIOS = 2.08v DMM.

I was about to add the trimpot but I need to figure out what the voltage is for sure. Stock vdimm = 1.8v correct?

Thanks!

I tried with 2 different DMM, both gave same result. For ground I am using a screw that is holding the board down to an alumi tray. Did you find measured vdimm is lower than bios vdimm or am I grounding improperly or something?

Thanks for the reply.
