was wondering what's this spdif out header on the motherboard was for until I read the user manual which says daughter can be used to allow AC97 onboard sound have digital output.

How come the motherboard never give the daughter board,should request from the vendor that sell you the motherboard. My old motherboard comes with the spdif daughter card.
