Any Mobo, Ram & Casing Recommendations? GhostBear_74 Jul 24th, 04, 09:18 AM #1 (permalink)
Hi everyone.

I am waiting for the release of AMD Athlon 64 3800 at SLS. Meanwhile I am doing some research into the following area.

1) Motherboard (Higher Ends) that supports Athlon 64 3800+ Processor

2) 1 Gigabtye of Memory (ECC or Non ECC?)

3) A really good Aluminium Casing (Very well ventilated) and a Good Power Unit.

Any recommendation so that I can at least have a direct to head to while I am researching? Any help is welcome.

Hi there GhostBear_74 Jul 28th, 04, 07:08 AM #3 (permalink)
I agree with the Antec 550 TruePower Power unit.

Dunno about the casing. Was thinking of getting the Antec P160. Reviews for it are pretty good.

Isn't that a server casing? GhostBear_74 Jul 28th, 04, 06:44 PM #5 (permalink)
Is that casing meant for Servers? Kinda of an overkill I think. My PC will only have 3 harddisk and 3 Optical Drives.

What ya think of the Antec P160 Anodised Aluminium Mid Tower?

I thank you in advance.
