Hei guys I'm new here. I wanted to fetch either an MSI GT628. Either that, or a customized sager.

I've take a look at mucro, and sgcubehubs, and some guys at hardwarezone reccomended me to go directly to corbell.

But turn out I stumbled to this :

A Bittersweet Experience with Corbell.

Apart from that one, how are your experience with corbell so far?

Do they have any showroom or somekind that I can visit and talk to them?

Corbell services are decent. Decent meaning they will try their best to do what they can within their capabilities. Like all service centers, the service you get will very much depend on the skills and flexibility of the technician. So far my experience with Corbell is decent.

We must remember, service from the staff and intermittent faulty products are 2 diff issues. If they test can, and you go back home test cannot, that one is really suck thumb. That will be a case of how flexible the technician is willing to be. Change on the spot or follow the book and say 'NO' to you.

Doesn't that write up you referring to, show that corbell did great as a service center but MSI's quality assurance has fallen to rock bottom from this example.

if it is a laptop you are buying...
there are many options...

i usually get one with very very solid warranty.

i got my Dell with EXTRA upgraded warranty.

you must know.. laptop is not easy to repair if you buy those non-common models.
dull models like Lenovo T and X series are the easiest to get spare parts and repairs
even after warranty is over.

when you are buying a laptop.. try not to just see the price.
you pay for what you get...

my dell is a classic example.
i paid so much for warranty that anything goes wrong they HAVE to take my table banging. They have no excuse to say no to me.

Agreed, that's why i always pay extra too for laptop extended warranty.

Unlike desktops, where spare parts can be easily gotten hold of.

still thinking about sager and msi

was thinking about alienware, but I get a much more decent specs with either both and I don't care about the looks. Alienware does look sleek tho.

MSI equipped with blue rays... which I figure I won't need em since DVDs are enough for me.

And hardrive is half terabyte on MSI

Sager... I don't know this is kind of alien in my ear but I could get higher specs on proc and GPU with the same price of MSI

cubehubs and mucro

nah... I reconsider... sager warranties would be too much of a hassle for me in my home country.

Plenty of times I've sent e-mails about a product I'm interested in to various companies and shops in Singapore, Thailand, India and Australia. Australia is 50/50 for getting a reply, Thailand is zero, India is zero and Singapore is about 10%. Sent an e-mail query about availability of a new MSI motherboard to Corbell recently... reply received same day

Needed a lost I/O plate for my old Neo2 board,
the staff at Corbell helped me search thru the
big paper box and found one. Gave me F.O.C with a smile.

Friendly and helpful!
