hey guys, im new over here too.
im thinking to build a new computer with a budget up to 2k.
im thinking of waiting for win7 to release.
i hear tt win7 will be release at 22oct. which mean next week.
so i can just buy the os itself? then i build my com at the same day?
can anyone give me a suggestion for building a com?
for like e.g wad motherboard, graphis card, ram, should i buy, but it dun cost more than 2k. it will be better if add on a monitor with it.

But it cost around 2.3k without OS somemore.
Im so stressing wad can i do about it.
The main thing i really go for is MSI Eclipse PLus.
The motherboard really look so cool.

just to check, whats the purpose of this rig? gaming? video editing? browse internet? V8 is also a massive cooler, although that will be no problem with your 932. but do consider if youre getting another cooler for your rams as they might interfere. besides, you dont really need V8 unless youre going to overclock. 932 has good airflow as it is.

since more than 50% of the people here are generally looking for gaming rigs, heres my two cents worth. if you want to stay below 2k, get AMD processor/mobo as they are more than sufficient for gaming needs. i7 is generally targeted at digital imaging and video professionals. AMD also generally more bang for the buck. check out MSI 790FX-GD70 if you want a good looking AMD mobo

as for GFX card, you get what you pay for, most of the time. same goes for ram. your board appears to be optimised for 3 channel memory, so you might want to get a triple channel ram 3 or 6gb.

if you really want that mobo, then you should probably cut back on spending on your case, and probably also get your V8 later. can also try use an old monitor temporarily till you get more money to upgrade everything. or maybe get your hands on a free copy of win7 XD. do pm me if you manage to find one

yeah, i would like to get i7, =D
my purpose is for gaming.
i usually would go for msi, Gigabyte, or asus.
i dun really like other brand. i duno why. =X
so i dun really need a V8?
im not going for overclocking anw.

If you're not overclocking, there's also no need to pay extra for the UCP 700W, any decent 500W should be good enough.

for case, im using the storm sniper. looks good, and has mesh grill (with dust filter) instead of window. I like the effect when lights from the inside glow out. instead of seeing the whole thing you see this cool shadowy figure
