hi guys,

anyone know of any cheap ccd barcode scanner? I got a quote from one reseller, he says his cheapest model is *gasp* $150. any cheaper models floating around? or should I try and look for a secondhand one in garage sales?

Got a used Argox CCD barcode scanner with USB interface for S$80.
Plug and play, no driver needed for Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
Self collect at Redhill/Bedok. SMS @ 9008-1738.

Hi Cflee, you can consider laser barcode scanners. better than ccd as no need to aim so near. I heard US brands go for around $300 and Taiwan ones go for around $250 in Sim Lim square. If you want lower than that, can check out with that shop CDR Computer Accessory or something like that on the 2nd floor. Heard from sale guy there got new China laser barcode scanner arriving this week. Going for under $200 and comes with 2 years warranty some more. You can check that out. Good luck!
