    BAD ENCOUNTER: CYBER MAESTRO PTE LTD - SLS

    Went SLS w my bf in search for a PS3 console & a speaker on 1 Nov 09. Chanced upon this shop as we saw quite a number of customers inside browsing. Thinking that it was harmless since there were so many customers we went and started browsing through the stuff & found what we wanted. A sales person named David served us and told him what we were looking for which is a new PS3 console & a speaker. Note that we mentioned NEW to this David.

    Managed to test the console & the speakers upon request. When we were about to make payment, David suggested additional accessories which were not needed but he hard selling and pestering us to show him some support. We kept rejecting his offers but he continued to push his luck with us. In order to end this tussle, we ended up buying that additional accessories like more PS3 games, additional controller & a cooling fan.

    When we got home, we tried to set up the stuff. To our greatest horror, the packaging of the cooling fan has been cut open. Tried plugging in e fan to the console, realised something was amiss.... e fan was actually dangling on 1 side...checked the fan...e clip has broke off!!! No wonder he was pushing this to us….:

    Major problem occured when my bf tried to register for the warranty. He keep facing "D.O.P Invalid" error upon submission. He decided to change the dates but the problem still persist. In the end he decided to check with Sony. Upon providing the officer with the relevant information, he got a shock of her life....the console has been registered under "Mr Tang" & the warranty has expired more than 3 months ago. Not knowing what to do, she seek the help from the Sony officer which advise her to seek help from CASE.

    Tried calling up the shop but NO 1 picks up the call. Feel so cheated!!!

    Go back to the shop ask for new or refund if they don want to change you call police show him the reciept that u brought it afew days ago how come the item already been register and expired more than 3months LoL.

    When u go to the shop must say Loud Loud let all the customer hear. U got higher chance they will change or u will be throw away. Either 1

    you report police case, ask a policeman go down with you. see what happens

    i think we should offer her an appropriate advise now =.=. My advise is lodge a complain to CASE, police and SONY.

    don't use case... that kind of company even ganna back listed can just change a name and repeat the whole process again. (same thing for court)
    get a police and go down talk, but chances are.... low

    ok this is the step

    bring the document to case

    they will issue u a document(i think cost 20 or something that advices them to resolve issue..

    u need to bring it to them with a friend to avoid a fight. talk to them nicely that if they dont, u will bring the cops inside. normally, if u put effort they resolve it, if their really sick, they will tell u to bring the cops and when that happens, their whole day is wasted...and the best time to do it would be LUNCH time...

    as what jai-dev said, you have all the proof you need to take this forward. the shop will likely avoid legal litigation and settle with you directly. be calm, and make sure you have witnesses hehe

    next time want to buy game console, buy it at ur neighbourhood area.. dun buy at SLS..
    if PC parts or wat.. buy at SLS is fine.

    i suggest u better report to the police as this case is consider as Cheating Case best is u got friends work as police officer

    You won't be the first person nor will you be the last to experience such things at SLS.

    Going to police is a good thing because you need to pay to go to CASE. Just that the police will take their time to action.

    I think it should be a lesson learnt too. SLS is one of my favourite hangouts but I only trust the shops from 3rd floor and above. I only shop at the lower floors if it is a friend shop or for food or if it is just some small items like LED or those $2 cables etc.

    When i entered SLS, I'll straight go to Level 3 and only shop and surf L3 and above.
