I am back from camp now... The following is the message between me and cissiboy on the day of the deal...

This was what happened... Met seller outside MRT station... Found no place to test the camera except for the MRT steps, which kinda block others path, and had to stand to check some of the stuffs (note: standing, and the message from him having another deal at bedok @ 7pm)... So I did a quick check for most of the things present, of which manual assumed to be there as there are some other papers there (for flash, other accessories, etc)... So I checked the battery is working, but was on low (canon's camera battery shows either 'have battery' or 'low battery' or 'flat' only with the icon) So I asked him if I can take home to test instead, taking into consideration that he is honest and will do a refund as I believed he is a sincere person... he agreed and said I could contact him for any problems I faced with the camera... Fair enough, I took his word and left happily thinking I finally got a DSLR (which I wanted long ago), and went to the bus interchange to take bus 72 home...


After the deal immediately once i boarded the bus which arrived when i reached

*There after, I got back home... Tested the camera immediately while charging one of the batteries... of which time was 20:24 when i took the first pic with it at home... due to it being dark... I tried a few more shots... Then stopped, yet to analyze the photos as I had to have my dinner (around 20:30 to 20:45)... So around 20:59 , when i took a few more shots, and suddenly tot of transferring it to my computer to take a look... So upon completion of the transfer, I took a look at the pictures, and found proper pictures which was taken (not dark black pictures due to insufficient light or over-exposed ones) to have those lines. I checked with my cousin, as well as online regarding these kinda lines, which linked to fungus or dust. So I used a blower to blow the inside with the battery that I charged half way (sufficient enough to activate "Clean Sensor" function), where I saw some lines there similar to that of the pictures taken... Blew the inside, dust cleared, took a pic without the lens to check if it's the sensor... Then at 21:14 I transferred the picture to my com again and still the same problem... So at 21:22, I immediately messaged him the following:

No reply was given... So I gave a call... No answer either... So I assumed he might be busy... Hence I wasited awhile then sms-ed and pm-ed the following:

Hi, the camera pictures are flawed... upon checking the camera's image sensor, i noticed some little scratches, of which only possible when there is battery, hence only able to see them when i am home...

Is it possible for a refund, as it does not meet the criteria of 'Camera in very good condition" since it's like this...

So I waited... Waited until midnight, 00:55, when I was getting worried about why no reply, he sms-ed me:

me (2010.02.21 01:00): ya... I checked the picture of ur pot also... And found out the bright flash kinda hidden it slightly hence made mi didnt notice... =( i checked with my professional fren and found out that it could be damaged on the sensor... =x


*note: the professional fren i consulted was my cousin's fren who is a photographer... Of which he mentioned that it is most likely fungus or smth on the sensor (which was interpreted by my cousin)

Then no reply fro him the next day even via call or sms... until the following on 2010.02.22, via pm only, while his phone cannot be contacted via call or sms for unknown reasons:

By right, only recca has the right and the final say and this is btwn them.

So i suggest you all just leave those two alone and stop flinging poop into the fan making both their lives difficult.

I also suggest a date set to meet at VRZ office to mediate with a 3rd party(with a help of a staff to hear both sides) and close this thread. It is a pointless monologue and childish bashing with immature name calling.

What needs to be said, has been said already. No point repeating and finding strawman arguments and ad hominen.
