well, very importantly, you need to rent a car. Phuket abit too big for taking a cab/tuk tuk...

Laem Prompthep is a nice place to see sunset, but there are quite alot of people.

Then there is also the 3 beach view point, very close to Kata beach.

I din do much shopping or eating out there, as my wife and I cooked in the room and spent most of our time in the spa, and going to scenic spots to take pictures.

They now have a very big shopping mall, near to big C... called Festival Market. Can go there take a look lah, but since I not shopping person, din spend much time there.

Patong filled with ang moh, and most restaurants there are out to chop them. Nevertheless, food is still much cheaper than eating in Singapore, even at those joints chopping ang mohs.

Can forget going to the nature reserves or waterfalls. Waste of time and money.

Ok...points and advise noted. How are the charges like on renting a car? Is it driver friendly area?

driving there not an issue, and they allow Singapore license. No need International.

I paid about 2800Bht (approx 113SGD) for 48hours, all insurance inclusive, on a Toyota VIOS.

you can get cheaper rate if you rent from shops near to the airport. probably about 2400Bht for the same deal.

flight : $182 for 2, all tax inclusive (excluding passenger surcharge at Phuket Airport 500Bht each passenger.)

Total damage - S$345 for 2...cheap right but wouldn't have the chance to enjoy the luxury of your standard. :sad6:
