i am actually considering to take up tour packages from Nam Ho Travel too... went to their website and saw that they have quite a few interesting itininaries to various places of Tioman Island too... guess i got to decide on where to go soon! Hahaha.
im not so sure but the ppl there say that tioman rarely rains so it should be fine to go any time..1 week is quite good..i stayed there for 4 days

Tioman is a great place for snorkeling but dun think the water there is crystal clear though ? Redang Island water is much clearer in my opinion and a great place for scuba diving

Hi,

I am thinking of bring my 2 kids to Tioman, just to check with you is it suitable to go snorkelling with a 2.5 yrs old child? For 7 years old kid should be fine right?

Is paya beach run down?

for 2.5yo might not be suitable for snorkeling, at most would be water based activities with floats, or even be limited to the pool? but if u're going snorkeling, there must be someone responsible to take care of the 2.5yo. 7yo shud be able to adapt pretty fast also, but prior, on-land exposure to how to breath thru the mouth with the snorkeling gear is advisable.

Juz came back from Tioman with family.
My kids 6, 8, 11. I threw them all in the marine park then throw roti besides them so all the big fishes swims around them. They enjoyed it alot. with life jackets of course. RM 5/day/jacket. Also brought them to swim at the waterfall.

Also with us another Sin family with a 3 yrs kid.
Both parents swam with them. Daddy took alot of pics.

With life jackets & calm seas should be no problem at all.
Go to Tioman must enjoy the sea lah!

Remember to bring Zambuk. Some beaches have sandflies.
Very itchy neh. My eldest son kena jialat.

Enjoy yrself!
