another side trip...

Will be going with family ( wife + 2 kids - 6 yrs / 3 yrs )
This round as destination will be Osaka, it will give me more time to explore the Kansai Area rather than Kanto Area which i have been twice.....
Total Duration of trip about 20 days...but Day 1 will be leaving singapore in the night and arriving into Day 2 ... and Day 20 will be leaving Kansai at 11am arriving SGP 9 pm.. so in actual fact its only 18 days. Furthermore with 2 kids in tow its going to be another challenge for us.
Weather will be another factor as its begining of winter, and i expect the temp to be around 8 to 15 C.
Places I have planned out mentally but not actual will be as follows :
Osaka
- Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium
- Suntory Museum ( near the Aquarium )
- Universal Japan
- Dotombori / DenDen Town ( these are near my hotel..3 mins walk)
Kyoto - will spend at least 5 - 6 days here using the Kintesu Rail pass ( 3500JPY per Adult , kids free , going to declare eldest son as 5yrs hahahaha)
Planning to make Kyoto for my base travel to Nara / Nagoya...this round die die have to visit the Toyota KaiKan Plant
- Nagoya Toyota Kaikan Plant Tour
- Nara Park
- Bamboo Garden - Arashiyama Bamboo groves are found behind Tenryuji Temple and along the trail to the Okochi Sanso.
did a detail plan of the Bamboo Grove trip.. and this is what i came out with...
- wake up early.. leave at 930am for Arashiyama
- take the 1030 am trainTorokko romantic train up from Saga Station and back down to Torokko Arashiyama Station.
- get off at Torokko Arashiyama station for the bamboo grove, enter by "North Gate" To explore the Bamboo Grove.. and also Nonomiya
- Walk out from bamboo grove then look for Tenryuji temple entrance.. explore awhile...
- get towards Keifuku Station for trip back to Kyoto.
