usually i use those website as a reference and then go direct to the hotel website, who knows they might have offers, most search engine in hotel usually charge normal rates and not so details which i realised after doing some research.

+1, book with hotel website you save the hassle of the middleman. What if hotel offers same price with free cancellation while the 3rd party website asks you for money in the event of cancellation or date change.
