My Travel Experience in Hua Hin susatan Sep 3rd, 09, 03:56 PM #1 (permalink)
I went to Hua Hin in July with my bf and two other friends. We stayed over at AKA Hua Hin resort. The resort is tucked away at a mountainous area, so the air is pretty fresh and surprisingly with all the greenery surrounding us, there're not much insects in our resort. We took the Two Bedroom Deluxe Pool Villa which comes with a private 10m pool.

These pics don't do the villa much justice, alas the rest of the pics are stuck in another camera.

The resort service while slow at times, is still great overall. When I emailed the resort that I'll be there to celebrate my bf's bday, they replied me within the day that a bday cake will be prepared for us, and true enough, 15mins after we checked in, a staff turned up with a chocolate cake!

What made my trip really memorable; was the friendly people in town though. Hua Hin is like Bangkok 10 years back, it's not crowded, the people always greet you with a smile and the night market is a joy to visit. The prices are reasonable to start with so there's no crazy bargaining and even if you don't buy, there's no hostility.

And the food..oh the DELICIOUS food...we had gigantic prawns, oyster omelette, fish, sotong, tom yam soup etc etc and it only costs us S$40!! Super cheap! The thai ice tea is out of the world! Between four of us, we had 11 glasses in total!

Super fresh fish.

There were 8 prawns in total! But we ate 4 before we thought of taking a pic.

Next comes the massages, cheap as usual, with super friendly service, so much so that we went there for 3 consecutive nights. Honestly, if you find their services good, give them a tip to reward them. One of the masseur even tied up my friend's hair into a pretty plait after the massage session!

Overall that concludes my trip. If given a chance, I'll definitely go back for sure. Oh well, Langkawi sounds just as good!

that sounds wonderful. But from what i recall Hua Hin is quite expensive due to their renowed golf course. How much did the package at Hua Hin Resort cost you? Was it booked together with the flight? thanks!
Oh, S$40 for 4 pax's seafood is super cheap, between 2 person's dinner at bintan cost me easily $80...

Sad to say, I was 'carrot caked' when I booked the package. Paid about SGD1k per pax for accommodation and air ticket for 5D4N. Do check out akaresorts.com as they have really good rates of their hotel from time to time. Easily 50% lesser than what you would get from a tour agency here. So it's better to book separately.

$1k per pax for 5D4N is quite expensive. I went to Korea earlier this year and paid $1.5k per pax for 6D5N... But of course they are of a total different agenda.

One's for pure relaxation whereas one's for shopping and sightseeing
