Magical Morocco 2009 wanderer Sep 23rd, 09, 02:21 PM #1 (permalink)
From the Atlantic coast to the Saharan desert; from mazing through the medinas, to shopping in the souks, Morocco certainly has more than enough things to dazzle the traveller, let alone a photographer. So here's sharing some images of my Moroccan trip in May, and hope you'll enjoy magical Morocco.

Dusk over the Atlantic coast, Rabat

A walk in the kasbah (citadel) alleys, Rabat

Street food in the medina, Rabat

Hassan II Mosque, 3rd largest mosque in the world, Casablanca

Interior of Hassan II Mosque

Most mazy medina in Morocco - Fes (sometimes spelt Fez)!!

One of many things sold in the medina, Fes

One of the most famous attraction in Fes, the tanneries

Market day in Azrou!

Atlas Mountains scenery, enroute to Er-Rachidia

Overnight in Erg Chebbi, the sanddunes of the Sahara

My camel driver, Asok

Golden dunes

Ruined Kasbah in morning light, Dades Valley

The pink Persian Rose, also known as the Damascus Rose. Every year, in May, Kelaa M'gouna will host its Rose Festival, to celebrate the harvesting of these roses for various products, most notably the rosewater.

The Rose Festival, turns out to be something like our Chingay parade, where floats and performances were paraded down the main town road

The Miss Rose pageant

Hi Asimof,
I flew to Casablanca via Dubai, using Emirates.

As for budget, it varies alot, depending on what kind of travel you're comfortable
in. I travel on low budget, taking buses and trains, and using 15-20 euros per night
accomm. My total cost is 600 euros for 16days.
