What's your favorite travel destination recently? watzup_ken Oct 5th, 09, 02:54 AM #1 (permalink)
As topic? Where have you gone that you find that its really great? I am currently in Switzerland for my 19 day 18 nights self planned trip with my wife, and man is this a great place to be. Things are on the expensive side with a proper meal easily around 25 to 30 Sing dollars per person, but the scenery here is fantastic and the weather here is nice and cold as compared to home. May be I will add some pics of this place when I return. Do check it up here for the pics later. In the meantime, please share your best travel experience so that we can learn and plan where to go in the future. Happy holidays!

Hi limakovic, my apologies for the late reply. Did not use my com most of the time there, so I did not see your ques till now. I went to the travel agent to get only air tickets. Hotels wise, I booked them online, but if you are worried, you can also use the travel agency help to book the hotels for you. But you will have to be sure where you would want to go, in order words, your itinerary must be planned before you go to the agency so that you can plan which hotel to book first and for how long you would like to stay there. 3 to 4 days is the recommended amount of days cause its not too rush and hectic and you can have enough time to go to other cities or attractions nearby. Me and my wife did not go on a guided tour cause its really rush since its usually a day or less in one city, and what you see and enjoy there is only the tip of the iceberg. But do take note that lodging there can be very expensive, depending on where you stay. A 4 day stay in say Geneva cost us more than 1.5K SGD at a very out of place 3 star hotel with average service. Its suppose to be the most expensive place in Switzerland and my experience there is only so so. And you can forget about cheap watches there cause its usually either the same price as in Sing, but quoted in CHF (eg, 3500 SGD here, it can be ard 3500 CHF), or its more expensive cause of the higher standard of living. But overall, its a great experience there cause its such a beautiful place.
