hey guys...recently i juz built my gaming rig...everyting was running fine n smoothly except for the GPU...for quite some time....wen i play the game hellgate:london, sometimes the game would juz hang n my screen would juz "restart" and then show driver not responding...updated my driver to the latest ver n the prob is still there...any help??

nvidia drivers prob and u are not alone. google for the registry tweak. or u can use ATI.. hehe

tweak the nvidia registry parameters. u can try, most likey can.

thks alot...been searchin thru but most of them are free trial which fix only a certain amount of errors...any recommendations??

look for patch file availability, if not try to use driver cleaner to clean your vga driver then reinstall the newest version!

nono, i mean there is actually some work ard by manually editing the registry on the nvidia parameters.. not those software that do registry cleaning.. i rem some overseas forums did actually post up the steps.. uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers will not help at all. I face the problems a few mths ago too.

hmm...can u recall which forum does it belongs to?? cause i'm not too sure bout sure editing registry stuffs...

hmm...have you try to uinstall the driver(actually what driver version are you using?...),installed the 162.22 version, or underclock your gpu, or your can test your ram one by one! or you can see this link

thks alot for the link...but my problem is slightly diff from the TS in tat forum cuz my problem was juz tat only SOMETIMES i would encounter the problem only...not always...usually my game runs smoothly...so i dont tink i can really test my ram one by one...n i dont really know how to use memtest...

as for drivers, i installed the latest drivers for my 8800GT which is 169.02 for vista 32-bit..

btw, wad do u mean by underclocking my GPU?? issit using rivatuner n make it run at a lower speed??

hmmm...i installed the latest forceware drivers n fixes le...hope the prob is solved..if nt i hafta use rivatuner to run a lower clocking speed...

btw, i downloaded rivatuner bud i m not sure how to use it...can teach me how to lower the clocking speed??

If you need to underclock your gpu to make it work, means there is something wrong with your graphic card.

Just leave it as it is. Since you already updated to latest drivers, give it a test first.
