Inno3d 8800GT OR Xfx 8800GT alpha Dog Edtion Pain|Killer Dec 16th, 07, 06:13 PM #1 (permalink)
I am going to buy a new card. Please help me. Which should i buy inno3d or alpha dog edition.

Alpha dog edtion has slightly bigger fan as compared to inno3d. how much it would be useful?

On the other hand inno3d is slightly cheaper than alpha dog edition.

Big fan = run at lower speed but have same amount of airflow

Which means it is more quiet

What you're gonna use the card for? Share with us so maybe others can help you =)

I am a hardcore gamer. Need it for gaming only.

I wanna ask is it worth paying extra $ for alpha dog edition. As it has a bigger fan, does the bigger fan performs well than inno3d.

Anyone one who is using either of these please comment?

Now finally i bought xfx alpha dog edition and have to pay extra $30 over inno3d.

The card has black PCB looks really cool. Also it has bigger fan.

Also the temps are good. My idle are 40 and 52 under load.

But now i have a problem. Since everyone has almost passed 700 core clock. So i decided to test it. But i get artifacts in ati tool when i pass 680. But i have tested 700 core clock in 3dmark 06 and it is stable.

Does ati tool shows wrong artifacts because it is stable in 3dmart06.

Should i keep it or exchange it. Suggestions needed.
