Regards

I'm Ian from Indonesia & i have DeLL PowerEdge SC 430 SOHO that only have PCIe x1, x4, x8, and i want playing games with my DeLL (i know that just dedicated for server only) but i confuse to find VGA that can running on PCIe x4 or PCIe x8 slot... maybe anyone in here can help me to find it(brand & series)

what do you think about this mod?(cuts the end of the PCI-E 4x slot and allow a PCI-E 16x graphics card to be used)

VGA that can running on PCIe x4 or PCIe x8 slot?

No, 101% won't works.

For the mod, you can try but warranty will be void should any hardware issue arise from the result of failure to get its working

i believe as long as you can fit the card in...e.g 8X slot are at times physically 16X slots which will run but at limited bandwidth...

that is in theory

I think for the Dell, the x8 slot is physically compatible with the x16, just that it is electrically x8. I could be wrong but it is easy to just visually doublecheck the x8 slot on the dell.
