I agree with the recommendation of the 710T. I have just acquired one of those just a week ago. There doesn't actually seem to be too many models to go after, unless you want in-built speakers (Philips).

I went shopping for one a week ago, and I only found these:
-Samsung 710T
-Samsung 730B
-Viewsonic 715VX
-Sony (forgot model number)
-LG 1750HQ (?)

For Philips, their 17" had in-built speakers which I didn't need. And the plain vanilla Philips 17"s were over SGD$500. The other models I've listed above all retail for less than SGD$500.

For 710N, take note that it is an analog-only model. Some people insist on getting DVI input for LCDs. :p
