    A quick noob question

How do i find out if my OS installed in my HDD is OEM or retail? Cuz it came with my current old acer pc and i might reuse the hdd for my future new rig, worried that OEM will perform poorly due to the 100%(almost) change of hardware.

    Greetings,

There won't be any difference in performance if you are using OEM or retail OS.

If it comes with your Acer (Branded) pc, it's most likely OEM.

    Cheers

There is absolutely no performance difference between an OEM or retail version OS. The only difference is the packaging and the price.

OEM version normally comes in a package when you purchase the PC which means that it has 1 liscence. Retails version can install on multiple computers
