hi,
i have ant ATI 4850, and i had just installed the catalyst 8.12 pack.
I can not see the video converting feature. I re-installed it, i still cant see it in the basic view. do u need an AMD processor 4 it ? i hav intel.

you need to download the avivo package from the website where you download the drivers.

no you don't need an AMD processor its based on your GPU.

what abt CCC ? do u need to catalyst control panel for it to work??

and can i make use of the new features in the 8.12 drivers if i just install the drivers only ?

you can try to install ati tray tools to see if they added access to it. but if all else fails the full pack with CCC is the only solution. "that i know"
