how to know which is positive negative F_panel cables? Don86 Jun 23rd, 09, 02:18 AM #1

Hello guys,

I'm trying to connect from my chasis the positive negative cables (gigabyte setto 1000) to my motherboard(gigabyte EP43-DS3L)'s F_panel front panel header and while it states which is pin assignment is positive or negative on the motherboard..

I dunno how to tell which side i should connect cables correctly into their positive negative pin assignment..

Sorry I'm new to this..thanks in advance

Black or white is negative, color is positive. Pin 1 is usually positive.

But actually only the leds' polarity need to be correct. Switch and speaker both ways can work.

Just look for the small triangle on the plug. But most of the time it means gnd (-ve). You can cross reference to your motherboard manual and the casing user guide.

yah usually for the led, the black or white is the negative and the color one is positive, for speaker is red positive and black negative. the reset and power cable any one will do.
