having 2 36GB raptors running raid 0 ... is it better if i get a 150GB velociraptor?

150GB veloci has quite a significant difference when it comes to performance compared to 300gb veloci. Do read up more before comparing to your 2 x 36gb raptor.

But IMO, I prefer the 300gb veloci cos of the performance and capacity.

TBH, i still prefer 300GB veloci. SSD is still pretty premium IMO even compared to raptors.

oh ok thanks .. i'll read up on the 150gb and 300gb difference.. lol gian to go ssd also .. looking at 32GB only ..

Actually it depends on your usage. If we're talking about Windows + apps and depending on the number of apps you have, 32GB is simply not enough.

In my scenario, Windows 7 (15GB) + Office Apps (3GB) + games. I seriously doubt 32GB ssd will be enough.

looks like access time is the same .. but read is only 5 mb/s more

but really got a diff in the 150gb raptor and 300gb
platter are still single for both rite?

Read on various reviews. The difference between 150GB and 300GB is actually quite significant. I believe its with the platter density.

What is the diff since the Read speed is ard the same? Maybe random read/write?

IMHO nothing to do with platter density, since they should have the same density, just different number of platters (or heads) being used.

Any difference in terms of performance can be attributed to the various drive firmware being used instead.

If you dun mind price ssd is the answer GSkill Falcon 128GB it's so fast it bottlenecks the current Sata II top speed which is quite unbelievable.
