OK so i have 2 harddrives both hitachi..

one one is windows xp and the other is vista..suddenly vista doesn seem to be able to read the other drive. I can see it in my computer but everytime I click on it, it says this drive has to be formatted.

Doing a chkdsk on the harddrive reveals one bad sector..


OK I found out one more thing, I changed the boot order and I can boot into windows xp and see all my data..

Anyone here know how to repair a bad sector?!

maybe vista is using the NTFS and XP is using FAT32?

i doubt that..besides i was using it for so long with no problems accessing data
