Hey peps
I want to upgrade my 2 x 1Gb kingston value to a 2 x 2Gb kit
I won't be overclocking, mainly because I don't know how to.
and my pc is mainly for photoshop.

So, between Kingston hyperX, OCZ titanium, Team extreme Dark, or any other brand, which one will you get?
I have a budget of 180, so basically I could afford any one of those.

and the other thing is, after I plug in that 4Gb, should I leave the 2 x 1Gb in the mobo or will that cause the overall memory speed to drop?

Is your existing RAM rated as 6400 also ? if not, then better to take it out.

What OS are U running at the moment ? if it is WinXP/Vista/Windows 7 32bit, then the max it can address to is 3.x GB (in theory is 4GB) only, so leaving the additional 2 x 1GB in your com will be useless.

If U are running WinXP/Vista/Windows 7 64bit then by all means leave the additional 2 x 1GB RAMs inside but sometimes it may cause incompatible problems which might be hard to diagnose.

RMA abit difficult, coz im studying overseas, going back only once a year, and buying cheap stuff to bring back. abit risky in case of faulty chips but the savings i think worth the risk.
