Service from Kaira viscy Nov 6th, 09, 11:46 AM #1 (permalink)
Some background info:
I emailed Logitech back in July regarding my logitech g5 mouse scroll wheel problem. The logitech support staff took over 2 weeks to send me a reply to give me a service reference ID(which is needed to RMA the mouse). Because of the long delay on their (logitech) part, I could not go to kaira with the time I had set aside in my schedule.

I went to Kaira on 16 Oct (friday) instead. When I went there they told me the reference number was long outdated (I didn't even know that the reference number had an expiry date!), so they needed to check with Logitech to see if the number was still valid.

After I made my way back home, I called the logitech customer support hotline and enquired if the number was still valid. They could tell me on the spot that it was still valid, so I figured the RMA at kaira shouldn't take too long.

Today (6 Nov, friday) I gave kaira another call to check on the status of my mouse. They told me that they were still waiting for a reply from logitech on the validity of my reference number.

Naturally I was frustrated and I told them I could immediately receive a response from logitech when I gave them a call. I waited three weeks for something I could have done within a day!

Edit: While I was typing this thread I received a call from kaira saying that logitech approved my number. I guess you gotta pester them if you want the service done fast.

Just for your info.

I don't have such problem when I serviced my G5. Fast and hassle-free one-to-one replacement after I contacted Kira about my problem.

Oh yeah.. This isn't the first time I had bad service at kaira.

The first time my G5 (the first version, red one) spoiled, i went to the kaira service center. That was around 2 years back.

Fuwell gave me the wrong warranty card that led me to the wrong kaira branch at ubi techpark.. Totally inaccessible and unfamiliar with the place, took me 2 hours to get there! That was fuwell's fault I guess. So i got redirected to the right kaira service center at paya lebar.

Took me another 40 mins to get there. The staff took my mouse in, asked me to wait.

I waited there almost 2 hours, then they finally told me they had no stock for my mouse, asked if I could top-up an amount for the battlefield version. I have no idea why I had to wait 2 hours for that piece of info but I fell asleep waiting for him.

Pek chek already, didn't want to come to this ulu part of singapore any more so i just paid and got the hell out of there. Was totally against the top-up idea (the bf2142 g5 is really fugly) but the thought of coming back was just too great a deterrence haha.

yucks!

Anyway, my mouse was bought directly from the kaira svc center, so had to rma there :S
