i had a spare Q9000 series processor.. when fix on asrock 4core 1333hd mb it keeps hang and unable to detact hdd or drive but when change other processor Mb ok.. supsect processor kinda spoilt but anyway to fix it?? coz haven't start to use much den tis happend.. nt from local Q.. from tw.

intel warranty should be international and tracked by the serial number if i'm not wrong.

can try call intel and ask them. make sure you have your original hsf though, with the same serial number as your processor, if not they wont accept for rma.

Does your Asrock mobo support this CPU officially? Asrock tends to have rather funky stuff sometimes.

btw if out of wty... CPUs are not reparable parts.

the asrock mb can support i tink.. show support core 2 quad.. is a asrock 4core 1333HD mb.. and ya asrock mb sometime really very funky.. if dun hv original HSF how to claim warrently and at where claim wor?? if can't fix it.. quite a waste.

Try on another (proven) mobo, maybe non-Asrock.

it's use to be on a acer intel motherboard it often tends to hang.. but can detect device.
