Question about power requirement StCain Nov 7th, 09, 11:37 PM #1 (permalink)
Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a 5850 card, but currently my psu is a 520w CM PSU.
I'm wondering if that'll be enough? Or would I need a more powerful psu.

Using a i7 860, 2gb ram and 2 hard disks.

Thanks.

If you're not doing any heavy overclocking or SLI/Crossfire, the 520W should be more than sufficient.

Depend on efficiency 80+ should be enough

I use to power 4 hdds plus below my signature's spec using just a generic 450w for 2 years
