u can see TCCD or UCCC on the ics when u look at the rams. usually tccds are covered by heatspreader as they are only found in extreme performance memory. and uccc usually on 1gb sticks only.

tccds work at 2-2-2-5 at ddr400 while uccc work at 3-3-3-7 usually at ddr400.

So which RAMs to buy for better performance? Any price diff btwn the two?
Does that mean that TCCD are better performing than UCCC?
Btw, where exactly can we find this TCCD/UCCC labels on the RAM itself?
And also can we tell by the timings(eg 2-2-2-5 or 3-3-3-7) from the RAMs thru naked eye?

if u decide to choose 2x512mb ones.. get tccd. if u decide to get 2x1gb,then uccc is ur choice.
timing can be seen on the sticker itself..(some may not have)

it's enthusiast rams. if you do not plan to overclock, then don't buy it as it costs more than double of valuerams. UCCC and TCCD are the chip names on the rams, not the name of the rams itself.

Most TCCDs can do 2.5-4-3-5 on DDR600 and UCCCs can hit 3-4-4-8 on DDR550. TCCDs are for 2x512Mb kits, while UCCCs are for 2x1Gb kits.

And follow Shumutt's link, i believe that will give you abit of help.

it will not overclock as well. both have different overclocking settings, but overall it will be pretty stable at DDR400 speeds/

Samsung TCCD/TCC5
- Requires 2.6v @200Mhz
- When overclocking it still requires less voltage than UTT BH-5/CH-5
- Timing must be increased when you overclock
- It will reach a higher overclock than UTT BH-5/CH-5 (300Mhz is possible).
- Helps you get a good overclock out of your CPU too. <better for 1:1 ratio
- you will never go beyond 3.0v (Do not go over 3.0v), so it does not get as hot.

Samsung UCCC
- Maximum voltage needed is 2.8v
- 2.5-3-3-X @200Mhz
- 3-4-4-8 / 3-4-3-8 @250Mhz
- Maximum Overclock ~275Mhz
