Twinmos Twister X - 2 x 512MB PC2-6800 Shamino Feb 12th, 07, 04:07 PM #1 (permalink)

It's been a while since we've taken a look at Twinmos Memory modules. This time, we take a look at their DDR2 Twister X series. From the label on the kit, the RAMs are rated PC2-6800 and I was curious about the rated clock speed as most of the manufacturers rate their memory as PC2-6400 (DDR2 800mhz) for easy reference and identification. 6800 means it is rated to run at 425MHz, DDR2 850MHz, though at what timings and voltage - this is not stated. We explore this pair of Memory and uncover some rather pleasant surprises...

you'll need some pretty well binned D9GMH/GKX to match 1374mhz.

I wonder how 2x1GB hynix FP-S5 will do..

Did you kill both sticks? I mean if the chips came off on the first stick wouldn't you save the 2nd one?

Also, did you try using more than 2.45v? If so, did they not clock any higher at higher volts? Could you boot at more than 2.45v?
