We (mods and admins) don't mind our forum users having multiple identities to satisfy their own strategic/privacy/deviant needs.

But know that if there is dishonesty/cheating involved (e.g. giving itrader ratings to each other), we will not hesitate to dig up all clones, IP addresses and other relevant information to sexpose you.

We are not voyeurs to our forumers' activities but always think twice before doing something stupid!

you buy what you feel is right about the price, isn't it.

Supposedly the situation is like that:

WTS: Nokia N97 SB650

you: bid 680
clone: bid 690
you: bid 700

Bidding closed at 700.

By right you were willing to pay the additional 20dollars, be it with or without the interference of clones. So yeah man... u know what i mean.

yup i agree with what u mention. You should bid for the amount u are wiling to pay, with or without clone

its often not that simple because sellers know that the current bid does influence the buyer's offer price, since bids are an indication of an item's value. so yeah, clones who artificially jack up the price are a menace to the marketplace.

If clones that artificially jack up prices are a menace, there are also clones that spread fake pricing information in order to push down apparent market value and making seller or MO price look to expensive.

Pls be on the lookout for them. Recently spotted 2 already.
