Hey guys, got a toyota corolla AE101 1993. Quite old and the engine's bay totally dirty

. Planning to clean it up soon but i know there's like some things to look for. Example i heard the "distributer" cant be wet. ( No clue what that is ) Any other advise on how i should go about doing this?

nice ride =) u be surprise how much this car can do.
cover the distributer with a plastic sheet, spray chemical. wait 5min then wash off. then turn off engine to make the engine bay hot and let the water evaporate.
